What is laser hair removal?
Laser hair removal at Bambú Spa & Skin Clinic is a safe and effective way to permanently reduce unwanted hair from any area of the body. Using the Lynton DINAMIX® medical-grade laser, treatments precisely target hair follicles to prevent further growth, leaving skin smooth and clear.
Our system is equipped with different handpieces and ND YAG technology, allowing us to safely and effectively treat all skin types, including darker tones, with minimal discomfort.
Light energy is delivered directly to the hair follicle, destroying it while protecting surrounding skin, for long-lasting results.
The DINAMIX® laser is trusted by professional skin clinics and NHS dermatologists for its precision and proven outcomes. Visible results can often be seen from the first few sessions, with optimal results achieved over a full treatment course.
What can be use for?
Laser hair removal provides a permanent solution for reducing unwanted hair on the face and body. Any area where hair grows can be treated safely and effectively with the Lynton DINAMIX®.
Unlike shaving or waxing, which can sometimes cause hair to grow back thicker or darker, laser hair removal destroys the hair follicle, preventing further growth. This means fewer appointments and long-lasting results, giving you smoother, more confident skin.
Suitability for laser hair removal
Laser hair removal is most effective on darker hair, as the laser targets melanin within the hair follicle. Very light hair colours, such as blonde, red, grey or white, contain little to no melanin and may not respond effectively to laser treatment.
During your consultation at Bambú Spa & Skin Clinic, a full assessment will be carried out to determine suitability and to discuss realistic treatment outcomes or alternative options where appropriate.
Preparing for hair removal
-
Avoid direct UV exposure, sunbeds and fake tan for 4 weeks prior to treatment.
-
Do not apply false tan to the treatment area for at least 1 week before your appointment.
-
Stop using products containing AHAs or BHAs on the face 1 week prior to treatment.
-
The treatment area must be shaven 12–24 hours before using a good quality razor. Do not wax, pluck, or thread the area.
-
Avoid applying lotions, creams, or moisturisers to the treatment area on the day of treatment.
-
You will initially attend a consultation and patch test. Please ensure hair is visible at this appointment, as this helps determine your hair type.

How does laser hair removal work?
Laser energy from the Lynton DINAMIX® is absorbed by the melanin in the hair, targeting the hair follicle beneath the skin. The follicle is heated to a level that destroys the stem cells responsible for hair growth, a process known as photothermolysis.
A minimum of 8 treatments, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, is typically required to target all hair follicles during their active growth phase (anagen), ensuring optimal results.
Our DINAMIX® system allows us to treat all skin types safely and effectively using different handpieces and ND YAG technology, so every client receives a treatment tailored to their skin and hair.

Does laser hair removal hurt?
Laser hair removal is a comfortable and well-tolerated treatment for most clients.
The sensation is often described as a gentle warmth or light snapping feeling, and treatments are quick. Some more sensitive or intimate areas may feel slightly more noticeable, but settings can be adjusted to ensure the treatment remains as comfortable as possible
Post treatment care
Comprehensive aftercare guidance will be provided following your laser hair removal treatment. Although the surrounding skin remains unaffected, certain precautions are recommended to reduce irritation and support optimal healing:
-
Avoid direct sun exposure and sunbeds on the treated area.
-
Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and hot baths or showers for the recommended period.
