WHAT IS PRP?
Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a clinically supported treatment widely used for skin rejuvenation and hair restoration. It involves using a concentrated portion of the patient’s own blood, processed to isolate platelets rich in growth factors that help stimulate the body’s natural repair and renewal processes. The PRP is then applied or injected into targeted areas to improve skin quality, texture, and tone, as well as to support hair follicle function. As an autologous, evidence-based treatment, PRP is well established across medical and aesthetic practice in the UK and is recognised for its strong safety profile.

PRP - Hair Loss
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an evidence-based treatment used to address hair thinning and hair loss in both men and women. Using a small sample of the patient’s own blood, PRP concentrates the body’s natural growth factors, which are then carefully injected into areas of the scalp where hair follicles are present.
This process helps stimulate inactive or weakened follicles, promoting hair restoration, improving hair density, and strengthening existing hair. PRP can be performed on any area where hair follicles remain and is commonly used to support growth of the scalp, hairline and beard.
It is also routinely used during, and for up to six months following, hair transplant surgery to help strengthen grafts and support the repair of existing hair follicles.

PRP - Skin Rejuvenation
At Bambú Aesthetic & Skin Clinic, we offer advanced, natural treatments for skin rejuvenation using Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP). This innovative therapy harnesses the body’s own healing mechanisms to restore, rejuvenate and revitalise the skin; resulting in a fresher, brighter and more youthful appearance.
PRP is a safe, effective, and minimally invasive option for patients seeking to improve overall skin quality, reduce visible signs of ageing, and address specific skin concerns.
The treatment involves taking a small blood sample, which is processed in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma from the red blood cells. The PRP is then carefully re-introduced into the skin to support tissue repair and regeneration.
This process stimulates fibroblast activity, collagen production, stem cell activation and microcirculation, leading to healthier, more resilient skin.
